- Kyle Cooke publicly accused West Wilson of strategically pursuing his ex-wife Amanda Batula after the Summer House season 10 reunion aired, believing West capitalized on her rising fame and “glow-up” to boost his own image.
- During a man-on-the-street interview, Kyle claimed West positioned himself as a “knight in shining armor” by publicly criticizing his marriage and manipulating the narrative.
- Kyle alleged West knew exactly what he was doing during the show’s confessionals, “hitching his wagon” to Amanda’s celebrity momentum while making him appear worse.
Part 1 of the Summer House season 10 reunion aired on Bravo last night, and it’s safe to say Kyle Cooke is having none of it when it comes to West Wilson’s blooming relationship with his ex-wife, Amanda Batula.
The Loverboy founder hit Threads on Wednesday, May 27, to reveal which fan theory he “believes” regarding West’s switch-up on him in the wake of his split with Amanda. To no one’s surprise, he slammed his former friend in the process.
“Of all the ‘theories,’ this is what I believe. Just looked back and did a rewatch of my street interview on 4/1,” Kyle wrote in response to a fan who speculated West had only romantically pursued Amanda after he realized she might “come out of this season with the fame and opportunity akin to Ariana Madix” after “Scandoval” in 2023.
Lindsay Hubbard also weighed in on the fan’s theory, writing, “And bingo was his name-o!”
Anyway, back to Kyle, who continued, “I discuss this very concept and refer to him trying to be a knight in shining armor and saying what women want to hear in part 3 of Adam Glyn’s videos on TikTok. He hitched his wagon to Amanda and, as someone referred to it on Reddit, ‘white-knighted too far.’”
He previously spoke on the exact theory during a man-on-the-street interview with Adam, which was posted across TikTok and Instagram Reels on April 2.
At the time, he said, “I feel like West positioned himself very conveniently to be this knight in shining armor for women, standing up for Amanda and checking me. I watched that, and for him to say what he said in his confessional and then double down after watching what happened, I was like, ‘Something’s up.’”
When asked whether he thought West throwing him under the bus for his marriage falling apart was manipulative, Kyle responded, “Not manipulative toward Amanda—strategic on his behalf. Like, he was trying to capitalize on this. This is a celebrity game. West is smart enough to know who the audience is, and he knows what to say to women to win them over. Everyone’s like, ‘Oh my God, look at his redemption arc,’ while he was strategically piling on.”
He continued, “We film these confessionals after the fact. He knew what he was doing. He hitched his wagon to Amanda’s horse during her glow-up and made me look even worse with some of his comments. He made it sound like I was yelling at my wife. I said what I said under my breath, which was disgusting, and I regret it. I apologized, but I didn’t need to be kicked by another dude on the show who’s literally been playing women his entire adult life.”
Ouch.
