If you’re an A-list celebrity, chances are you’ve been to the Met Gala at least once. Even Taylor Swift and Beyoncé (who’s co-chairing this year!) have made appearances, but Adele? Not so much.

However, the singer’s lengthy skipping streak could end this year. The Sun reports that Beyoncé being named as a co-chair has inspired a bunch of celebs who’d usually miss the event to RSVP yes. Including Adele!

“The so-called Beyoncé effect is expected to be enough of a pull to draw a number of A-list attendees such as Rihanna, Jay-Z, and Adele,” PR expert Kayley Cornelius tells the outlet. “Beyoncé stepping back in as co-chair for the Met Gala for the first time in a decade is set to completely shift the energy of the night. When someone of her status is involved, it instantly raises the bar and turns the event into a must-attend moment. Expect to see a wave of A-listers returning to the carpet, particularly those within her inner circle.”

She adds, “With Beyoncé involved, this is no longer just about fashion—it becomes a full cultural moment, and that is what pulls in the biggest names.”

This obviously isn’t firm confirmation that Adele will be there, but it’s tentatively looking good? As for why the singer hasn’t attended Met Galas in the past, there’s no drama to be found. Usually it’s been down to scheduling conflicts, like her Las Vegas residency. She’s! Busy!
