Beyoncé is co-chairing the Met Gala this year, and if you’re wondering who her plus one will be, all signs are pointing to Blue Ivy!

Well, maybe.

In the past, the Met Gala has enforced a pretty strict age limit: they’ve only invited guests 18+ since 2018. This was confirmed when Dixie D’Amelio made her Met debut in 2021, and her sister Charli D’Amelio couldn’t attend because she was only 17. As Charli put it during a SiriusXM appearance at the time, “The funny thing about this is, I'm actually not old enough to go to the Met Gala,” she explained while addressing a rumored seating chart on “But I have gotten so much hate about that, and I’m like, ‘Guys! I can’t even go!’”

Blue Ivy is just 14, so she’s a full four years younger than the age limit. However, there are two things to consider!

1) Nicole Kidman is bringing her daughter, Sunday Rose. And while Sunday is older than Blue Ivy at 17, she’s also technically under the age limit!

2) Blue Ivy’s grandmother, Tina Knowles, was interviewed on the Sherri show on April 28, and—when asked about Blue Ivy attending the Met Gala—said, “I don't know. Don't Sherri. You're trying to get me in trouble…I would love to see her go. I don't know. I don't know. I hope so.”

I mean, it’s not a no!
