Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly may not be together right now, but you know what they say: Twin flames always find their way back to each other. Ever since the former couple welcomed their daughter, Saga Blade, earlier this year, they’ve reportedly been focused on keeping things “amicable” for the sake of their child. Per pics published by TMZ, the on-again, off-again couple took a family vacation with Saga to Costa Rica on July 22, eight months after their last breakup.
As far as their relationship goes, sources for Us Weekly weighed in on where Megan and MGK currently stand, with one insider calling the trip as a “big stepping stone” toward trying to “reconcile” their relationship.
According to a second source, “Things feel back to ‘normal’ between them, but they are not putting a label on their relationship.”
They went on to add, “Seeing him be with their baby girl has brought them closer together. They are spending a lot of time under one roof, and Megan does let him stay at her house to help her with the baby. It has been a team effort, and he has stepped up.”
During an August 4 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, MGK opened up about his journey with fatherhood and if play dates with Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt’s baby are on the line.
“I feel like me and him always talk about, like, ‘Won’t it be great to just be walking our babies down in strollers?’ And I’m like, ‘You know, I don’t think Megan and Elsie are ever gonna let us,’” the musician, who also has a 16-year-old daughter, Casie, from a past relationship, said.
He jokingly continued, “I think that they would be in their heads thinking that we would be looking at the baby and go, ‘Okay. What do we do?’ and the diapers end up on our heads or something.”
Us Weekly’s second source also revealed that while Saga’s arrival “changed everything” for Megan and MGK, the Jennifer’s Body actor is still standing on business when it comes to getting back together with the “Bloody Valentine” musician.
“Megan is very strong-willed and doesn’t want to give in to MGK and allow him fully back in. She’s standing her ground but, of course, still loves him,” they explained.
The insider continued, “There has been a lot of damage done. Things change daily, and if he does one thing wrong, he knows she will write him off immediately.”
