Yet another drama-filled book about the royals is dropping! *exhausted sigh* And it's being serialized in the Daily Mail, for those of you who just want to get straight into the drama. And trust, there is drama to go over.
According to royal biographer Robert Hardman's Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story, Prince William was less than thrilled about a moment in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix series—where Harry seemingly implied that William had married Kate because she "fit the mold."
Here's the quote from Harry:
“For so many people in the family, especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mold, as opposed to somebody who you are perhaps destined to be with. The difference between making decisions with your head or your heart. My mom certainly made most of her decisions if not all of them from her heart, and I am my mother's son."
According to Hardman, "the clear inference that he was talking about his elder brother astonished friends of the family." The author also spoke to someone close to William who said "On top of all the other breaches of trust, here was Harry making a blatant attack on Catherine. For William, this was the lowest of the low."
That said, apparently opinions were "divided" as to whether Harry's comments were a "calculated slight" against Kate, or a case of "Harry shooting his mouth off."
William and Kate never released comment about the Sussexes' Netflix doc, but source told Us Weekly that Kate "feels hurt and betrayed that Harry would do this to her too, especially as the pair used to be so close.”
