TS13 is (potentially) incoming!!! Taylor Swift has fans convinced she’s recording new music thanks to showing up at Electric Lady Studios in New York City on Monday night and staying there for over nine hours. The singer arrived around 8 p.m.and was spotted leaving at 6 a.m. this morning. She’s been busy!
While new music hasn’t been confirmed, keep in mind that back in April a source let it slip to Us Weekly, “She does have another record in the works, but there’s no pressure to release it anytime soon. It’s still very much in the creative stages.”
Taylor’s next album will be her 13th, which will be a huge deal due to 13 being her lucky number. As she put it to MTV back in 2009 (via People), “I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album Taylor Swift went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter. Basically, whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.”
As for Electric Lady Studios, Taylor has recorded some of her best work there—including Lover, Folklore, and Midnights, not to mention several Taylor’s Versions. Unclear how much time Taylor will be spending in the studio while she’s in NYC, but her wedding to Travis Kelce is (allegedly) in just a few weeks at Madison Square Garden, so she’s definitely in a New York state of mind.
