It has now been (*checks calendar*) 13 days since Temptation Island season 2 dropped on Netflix, which means I’ve spent almost two weeks wondering about the fates of this season’s four couples after they left Kona. But at long last, part one of the Temptation Island season 2 reunion dropped on The Viall Files YouTube channel…and lucky for you, I watched it so you don’t have to.
I now know where everyone stands eight months after filming—and I’m sure you’re dying to know, too, or else you wouldn’t be here!! So, if you’re looking for spoilers (or want to save yourself an hour-and-a-half), here’s a quick recap.
Kaylee and Summit
Status: Still together
They left paradise together, and as fans hoped, they’re still together today. Happy for them! And though they haven’t moved in together or gotten that dog yet, Summit said they “want to ASAP, but the realities of life can prolong that process.” Fair enough.
Scarlett and Cole
Status: Back together
Surprise! While Scarlett opted to leave Kona solo, she and Cole ended up reconciling after filming wrapped in August.
Shyanne and Jack
Status: Not together
Despite all those videos of them hanging out together recently, it seems Shyanne and Jack have not given their relationship another shot—but at least they’re on good terms!
Mikey and Sydney
Status: Not together
Like Jack and Shyanne, these exes are seemingly friendly…but definitely decided that they’re better off as friends. Of course, that was only after they got back together for a bit.
As Mikey explained it, “Me and Sydney got back together. Everything was going good, it was phenomenal, but I was holding onto what I experienced on the island. That was not fair to her whatsoever. Any inkling, any argument, I’d be throwing that jab at her. It was tearing her down.” And eventually, they went their separate ways.
Sydney and Xzavier
Status: Not together
Sigh. Fans had hoped that these two would find a way to make their love last post-Island, but it doesn’t seem like things worked out that way. Just four days after filming wrapped, Sydney broke things off with Xzavier, explaining, “I wasn’t going to jump into another relationship, although I was dating him on the island. Mikey was my best friend.”
That said, after things ended (again) with Mikey, Sydney did reach out to Xzavier about four months ago, asking him to get coffee. “We spoke about everything. I told him everything me and Mikey went through. I told him I’m really working on myself and trying to process everything,” she said. And though she reiterated to Nick Viall that she’s “just focusing on” herself at the moment, who knows what the future holds?
For more tea, check out the full reunion—and don’t forget, there is going to be a part two dropping on April 24 as well!
