Hi, did you watch the second season of Netflix’s Temptation Island in one sitting (guilty) and now need to know where all the couples stand in our good year in 2026? Considering this season was filmed back in August 2025, a LOT has probably changed since cameras stopped rolling…and while we probably won’t get any definitive answers until the reunion, fans are definitely looking for clues. Here’s what I personally need to know: What happened to Sydney and Xzavier after Temptation Island?
As a reminder: Sydney McGregor arrived in Kona with her boyfriend of one-and-a-half years, Mikey Bivens—but it wasn’t long before Xzavier Odom caught her eye. After watching Mikey’s flirty behavior with the “three amigos” during the first bonfire (and receiving a very sweet card from Xzavier), a new relationship blossomed, and by the end of the experiment, Sydney and Xzavier decided to leave paradise together. But did their love last? I did a little investigating, and—though I don’t know anything for sure—it seems like a possibility!
Aside from the fact that they still follow each other on social media, Sydney recently posted a TikTok featuring a bunch of the guys from the villa, including Xzavier (wait for the end):

However! Though maaaaany fans have slid into her comments to ask about her relationship status with Xzavier, Sydney is playing it coy. In response to one commenter (who asked, “Can you share your personal relationship status? Sorry if too personal”), Sydney said, “not too personal! but I cannot share my status….. YET 🥰.”
While chatting with Cosmo ahead of the season premiere, Sydney had nothing but good things to say about her Temptation Island connection. “When I first met Xzavier, it really felt like a friendship. And I didn’t look at him in terms of like somebody I could possibly like, somebody I would possibly date, or anything like that,” she said, adding that when she did fall for him, “I was just shocked. I was blown away.”
Here’s hoping that embargo lifts soon so she can give fans a much-needed update on what happened post-Island!
