Yes, Mikey may have gotten his heart broken on season 2 of Temptation Island, but he’s taking it all in stride. Ahead of the reunion (which has yet to be officially announced, btw), Mikey has been in the comments responding to fans who want to know his thoughts on Sydney and Xzavier’s relationship, and he’s not holding back.

His general vibe? He doesn’t seem to harbor any ill will toward his ex or her new man (who she may or may not still be romancing…). The reunion will reveal what really went down, of course, but Mikey seems to have put the events of the show behind him. For instance: In response to one commenter who said Mikey “never stood a chance” against Xzavier, Mikey quipped, “THAT MAN PLAYED THE GUITAR!! it was GAME OVER 😔.”

In response to another who accused him of crying “fake tears,” Mikey wrote, “Damn maybe i [choose] to CRY instead of crash out cause i didn’t want the ‘ANGRY’ black man label i rather be a cry baby and feel my emotions for a woman i love instead of be angry 🫶🏽🤒.”

And to another, who asked why he didn’t “turn up in the house” after seeing Sydney move on, Mikey replied, “She had to do what was best for her! i ain’t built to hate on her journey twin.”

As a reminder: Neither Xzavier nor Sydney has confirmed where their relationship stands today, but Xzavier did recently open up about Mikey during an appearance on The Viall Files.

When asked whether he ever had a conversation with Mikey following the show, Xzavier said, “No, there was no interaction that took place. And to be frank, I really didn’t need to on my behalf.”

He also gave a lil more insight into how his relationship with Sydney developed in paradise, saying their behind-the-scenes conversations “got extremely real.”

This reunion can’t get here soon enough!!
