The Temptation Island season 2 reunion is here, which means we finally have answers for what happened to the four featured couples after filming wrapped back in August. Fans hoped that things would work out for Sydney and Xzavier after they left paradise together…but as it turns out, Sydney lasted a grand total of four days before getting back together with her ex, Mikey.
As Sydney explained during part one of the reunion special on The Viall Files, she ended up breaking things off with Xzavier four days after returning from Kona. “I wasn’t going to jump into another relationship, although I was dating him on the island,” she said. “Mikey was my best friend.”
Mikey then went on to explain that things seemed promising at first, but he let what happened between Sydney and Xzavier on the island get to him. “Me and Sydney got back together. Everything was going good, it was phenomenal, but I was holding onto what I experienced on the island,” he said. “That was not fair to her whatsoever. Any inkling, any argument, I’d be throwing that jab at her. It was tearing her down.”
Eventually, they ended up splitting once again. “I could see her heart was hurt,” Mikey continued. “I would say it was the immaturities because I didn’t seize that opportunity. It’s something I have to live with.”
So…where does that leave Sydney and Xzavier? Per Sydney, she reached out to her Kona flame about four months ago and invited him to coffee (even telling him, “I’m probably the last person you want to talk to”).
Of the date, she said, “We spoke about everything. I told him everything me and Mikey went through. I told him I’m really working on myself and trying to process everything.”
At the moment, Sydney said, “I am just focusing on myself”…but who knows? Maybe there is still hope for her and Xzavier!
