If you're looking to instantly elevate your home, incorporating bouclé is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to do it, and M&S has just the cushion to buy.
Bouclé is a textured fabric, made from looped yarns, and quite literally means loop in French. The fabric has been popping up in homeware for years and is still very much on trend thanks to its ability to instantly deliver added texture to your home. From arm chairs, to bed frames and throws, it's been incorporated into all types of furniture and decor items.
A bouclé cushion is an easy and budget-friendly way to use the fabric in your home, especially as it'll add instant depth and interest to any chair, sofa or bed you place it on, thanks to its rich texture.
Right now M&S is selling a MADE bouclé sage green checkered cushion for £26 and it's perfect for summer.
See the cushion here:
The cushion features a two tone green pattern, combining the biggest two shades of green this season - sage and olive. These green hues are great in a variety of living spaces as they instantly evoke feelings of calm and grounding. The checkerboard print (one of the biggest of the season too) is completed with an ecru shade on the other half of the textured side, which gives another dimension to the cushion instantly, elevating it. The reverse of the cushion is a plain olive hue.
This cushion would look great along complimentary green tones, such as how the M&S team have styled it. It would also work well with neutral ecru and brown tones, or in contrast with a dusky blue sofa or a hot pink chair. It's made from 100 per cent cotton so it'll be super soft.
It's also available in a marine shade or a warm rust hue, if those work better for your existing colour scheme. However, for summer we think the green cushion works best. And just think how cosy that bouclé will be on your sofa!
