If you've been looking to give your living room a bit of a spruce as we head into the late summer, a new cushion (or two) is an easy and affordable way to elevate your sofa. And one of the biggest cushion trends right now are textured edges, specifically fringe trims.
The fringe trim gives instant texture and style to a cushion, even if the rest of the cushion is pretty plain. The trend at the moment is to have a small trim, around an inch or so surrounding the border of the cushion, often in a contrasting colour to the main cushion in order to make the look pop.
Matalan has a great range of fringe trim cushions, and our favourite has to be the slate blue cushion with a cream fringe trim.
See the cushion here:
The slate blue shade is the perfect hue to add a pop of colour to your living room, without being overtly bright. It'll also work with a number of existing sofas, be they neutral, blue, grey, green or pink.
And right now the cushion is on sale for just £6.40, having been reduced down from £8.00.
The cushion also comes in a variety of other shades if blue and cream isn't right for you. Theres a green and brown combo for a more colourful look, a black and white trim cushion for a classically clean look and a light and dark brown combination for a more expensive feel.
The cushions are all wipe clean only so keep that in mind around children, pets or friends who are prone to spilling.
These are some of our other favourite fringe cushions on sale right now too:
