It's not just getting hot in here, it's extremely hot in here...which makes finding an outfit in the morning quite the challenge. So it's serendipitous that boudoir dressing is majorly trending RN, largely thanks to the Autumn/Winter 2026 runways — with lace-trimmed slip dresses featuring at McQueen, Fendi and Christian Cowan.
Last month, Madonna and Charli XCX confirmed that the trend won't be going anywhere, as they both showed up in lace dresses at the (record-breakingly-hot) Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2027 show, where creative director Anthony Vaccarello is a huge purveyor of the look.
All of this is to say that dressing for bed has never been more chic. The street-style set know that a nightie dress is an easy way to look put together while keeping cool — simply add shades and a pair of pumps.
Thankfully, this trend has hit the high street in a big way, with lace-trimmed shorts, cami tops and floaty dresses popping up everywhere. Top of our current wishlist? This nightie mini dress from M&S. The loose silhouette and skater skirt make it perfect for chucking on in the morning with a pair of ballet flats.
If you're looking for a some more office-appropriate coverage, the dress will work well layered over a classic white tee.
It comes in three colourways of white, black and dusty pink, meaning there's one to suit every personality. Just get ready to ignore people when they ask if you rolled out of bed...
