Paris Fashion Week kicked off yesterday, and while the sweltering heat has been wreaking havoc in the French capital, the Saint Laurent show proved that the doomsday-style weather simply isn't enough to stop celebs from serving looks.
The FROW at the label's Spring/Summer 2027 menswear show was star-studded to the absolute max, featuring the likes of Kate Moss, Austin Butler, Daisy Edgar-Jones and...the most iconic inter-generational link-up of Charli XCX and Madonna.
Sandwiched between Debi Mazar and Connor Storrie, the girls appeared to work it out on the remix by hugging, kissing and even smoking cigarettes together. Both are due to release albums next month, and earlier this year when Charli put out her single 'Rock Music' declaring "the dancefloor is dead", Madonna subsequently captioned an Instagram post saying: “If your Dance floor feels dead[,] Maybe you're playing the wrong music.” We live for the drama.
The two artists wore different versions of the house's signature lace dresses for the event. Charli opted for a fire-engine red slip, teamed with ultra-low denier tights and burgundy point-toe heels.
Madonna, or should I say the queen of pop, choose a deep magenta body-con mini, complete with oversized tortoiseshell shades and hot pink cap toe pumps.
Friends, enemies, or frenemies — all I know is that I want a lace dress ASAP. I've scoured the high street to find the best similar versions below. Will you choose Charli red or Madge pink? The choice is yours.
