What the beauty editors are buying from Deciem's massive sale
Yep, The Ordinary is now even more affordable
Ok, I’m going to give you the bad news first: Deciem, home to the likes of NIOD and The Ordinary, will not be taking part in Black Friday this year.
But please, stop weeping into your latte, because the good news is really, really good.
Instead of taking part in the annual Black Friday shopping frenzy, Deciem is doing something bigger. In typically rebellious style, the brand's website and stores will shut down on November 29th, taking a stance against the hyper-consumerism that Black Friday epitomises, and preventing all those panic purchases.
Instead of a crazy 24-hour sale, where you’re likely to buy a whole load of things you don’t really need, Deciem has launched a site-wide sale, reducing everything from The Ordinary to Hand Chemistry by a huge 23%. (Yep, even the price of your ride-or-die Hyaluronic Acid has been slashed.)
This never-before-seen discount will run until November 29th, encouraging slower shopping and considered purchases, without the stress-inducing time limits that Black Friday enforces.

Yes, even this skincare set is included in the discount, which is frankly unbelievable. Containing your new favourite moisturiser, multi-active serum and retinol night treatment, it’s an entire skincare routine for less than £20.
NIOD Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex

The Ordinary’s hyaluronic acid serum is good, but we reckon the stronger version from sister brand NIOD is even better. For an extra few quid, you’re getting multiple weights of hyaluronic acid, (15 to be precise), which work on different levels of the skin to plump and hydrate from the inside out. If hydration is your aim, this cannot be beaten.
The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane

This no-nonsense bottle is proof that you don’t need to spend triple (or even double) figures on an effective retinol serum.
The brand offers a whole range of retinols in varying strengths, but this 0.2% iteration is a good jumping-off point. (If you’re a retinol regular, advance to something stronger.)
