I spent a brief (and financially ruinous) period of my twenties as a blonde and can confirm that my hair never, ever looked like this... Mine oscillated between expensive hay bale and frazzled Barbie left on a radiator; Victoria Beckham, meanwhile, manages to sport the summer season's most popular tone with an immaculate nonchalance that suggests she has purple shampoo, bond-building treatments and a top stylist on speed dial – and TBH, we don't doubt that she does.
Now, Posh has been living in her blonde-ombré era for a while; however, within the last 24 hours, there's been a fresh development in the follicular saga. Spotted in Paris, France, on 2 July, VB's ends appear noticeably brighter than they did just a couple of weeks ago. The rich caramel tones we saw mid-June have been softly elevated into something altogether creamier. And it's a look we're dubbing 'buttercream blonde'.
For context, here's a look at the singer-cum-fashion designer-cum-beauty mogul's hair before:
And now, a look at the recent hair transformation in question:
As shown, she's gone from toasted caramel territory to a softer, sunnier finish – AKA, the ultimate refresh for summer 2026.
Now, our suspicion is that this isn't the result of a marathon salon session involving industrial qualities of bleach, but instead, a toner, gloss or glaze treatment designed to lift warmth and brighten without damage.
Everyone's clicking on...
There's no denying that the brunette pob had its moment in the early noughties. But two decades on, and Victoria has traded angular precision for buttercream blonde mermaid lengths, marking an era of longer, lighter locks. You could say it's a hair evolution worthy of its own pop cultural chapter.
