Let me set the scene: I’m a little obsessed with anything hair-related. Styling my hair is one of my favourite parts of the day, and you’ll usually catch me with some kind of bouncy curl going on. But I’ll hold my hands up, I’m also guilty of bleaching it and adding a lot of heat, which is exactly why I’m forever on the hunt for anything that’ll keep it healthy while I keep, well, doing the absolute most to it.

So, when UKHAIR’s new Advanced Hair Supplements landed on my desk, I was intrigued. Could two capsules a day make a noticeable difference? Here’s everything I found...

What are UKHAIR Advanced Hair Supplements?

UKHAIR is the latest launch from UKLASH – the brand that's best known for its lash serums, and more recently crowned the UK’s #1 hair growth serum brand. So, hair growth is firmly in its wheelhouse.

The supplements are designed to support fuller, healthier-looking hair from within, using a blend of AnaGain NU (a pea sprout extract), biotin, vitamin C and ginseng root extract to aid the hair’s natural growth cycle.

Pea sprout extract might sound like a curveball, but it’s become a bit of a hero ingredient in the hair world. In fact, one study found 86% of participants experienced reduced hair loss after two months of use. Think of it as a wake-up call for sleepy follicles, helping your hair to stay in growth mode for longer.

Stopping hair loss wasn’t my main concern, though. I was more interested to see whether the supplements could breathe some life back into my bleach-loving hair and encourage growth. Full disclosure: I only tested them for one month, so I wasn’t expecting miracles.

UKHAIR Advanced Hair Supplement Review

Firstly, these supplements couldn’t be easier to fit into your routine: two capsules a day, which I took each morning with breakfast. No side effects that I could tell, which is always my first worry with any new supplement. I also liked the fact they’re vegan and sugar-free, a nice bonus if that's something you look out for.

The only slight downside? The capsules have a noticeable smell when you first open the tub, and there’s a mild aftertaste once you’ve swallowed them. It’s nothing dramatic and disappears quickly, but it’s worth mentioning if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing.

While I noticed a difference, 30 days is not a long time in hair-growth land. Hair growth is a patience game, and supplements like this are built to be a marathon, not a sprint. So I wasn’t expecting shampoo-advert levels of transformation – what I noticed instead were smaller changes worth talking about.

By the end of the month, the front sections of my hair and the areas around my hairline – where I tend to notice the most breakage (that’ll be the bleach) – looked fuller and felt stronger when styling.

Could I say with complete certainty it was all down to the supplements? No – so many things affect hair health, from diet to stress to the products you already use, so it’s hard to isolate any one factor. But there was enough of a difference to leave me impressed. After one month? I’ll absolutely take that.

It’s worth saying these aren’t designed to replace a good haircare routine or treat medical hair loss – they’re made to complement products like the UKHAIR serum and support healthy hair over time, rather than act as a quick fix. And as with any supplement, biotin doesn’t suit everyone, so if you’re unsure, check with your GP first.

Final thoughts

I would continue to take these because my new hair growth felt stronger after just a month, and the improvement around my hairline was enough to make me want to keep going.

Realistically, the real magic with supplements like these comes from consistent, long-term use – and UKHAIR recommends at least 8-12 weeks. So, while I don’t think 30 days is long enough to see their full potential, it’s certainly enough for me to decide they’re worth sticking with.

For £24.99 a month, they might just be worth a spot in your haircare routine – especially if, like me, you’re trying to counteract years of bleach, heat and generally putting your hair through more than it deserves. I’m all for the healthy-hair journey, and this is one I’d happily keep going.
