When I first started out at Cosmopolitan, the thought of being able to test out a Jo Malone London perfume was beyond me (read: she was a skint graduate who couldn't even afford to step into the likes of a department store).
However, just short of a few weeks later, I took home my very first perfume from the beauty cupboard and nostalgically, that Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Cologne still sits in pride of place on my vanity today. To my nose, it leans more towards Sicilian lemon or citron than straight-up bergamot – bright, zesty and just the right side of juicy. It's an easy, unisex wear that feels like sunshine with a sea breeze.

This is what I imagine* the changing rooms at Hermes smell like. *Strong emphasis on imagine.
