Whenever Jennifer Lopez comes to mind, I picture her in a glamorous, sparkly gown or some bold catsuit, performing hypnotizing, show-stopping choreography that I’ve tried to do at home. That’s just how I’ll always see J.Lo. But celebrities—they’re just like us! Even J.Lo has her off-duty moments, and when she’s not onstage or on a red carpet, her style can be much more casual and laid-back.
Recently, while out and about in Malibu, Lopez was spotted in a chic tank-and-maxi skirt combo (a pairing we all know and love). And we were able to ID the sleek white top she was wearing, and it’s from one of our favorite affordable brands...Free People!
This tank might just be one of the perfect go-to tops of the summer—a bold statement, I know, but I stand by it, and so does Jen! Its romantic, airy silhouette has a gorgeous, flowy quality that adds a whimsical, elevated touch to jeans, trousers, shorts—you name it. The square neckline, scalloped lace trim, and flared-out (almost peplum) cut also tap into three trends we’ve been seeing everywhere lately. But for me? The best part has to be the adjustable straps, which let you customize the fit to whatever feels best for you.
Plus, I mean, that under-$50 price tag is pretty hard to beat. I can’t even lie—it’s been tough for me to find tops I actually like in this price range lately! So, major shout-out to Jen for the budget-friendly find. I’ve been influenced!
Naturally, I ended up scrolling through the Free People site after spotting this gem, and I found even more chic, similar styles to add to my wardrobe this season!
