Thanks to a One Night Only live event at the iconic Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, Deborah and her “friends and enemies” will join fans for a live event after Hacks earned a record-breaking 24 Emmy nominations for its fifth and final season. When is the Hacks One Night Only live event?
Fans first caught wind of the event when several outlets and social media accounts posted a photo of the Fonda Theatre’s marquee, which reads, “Deborah Vance & Friends & Enemies Live!” on August 11.
According to Variety, the event itself is set to take place on Friday, August 14, just in time for phase two of Emmy voting. Fun fact: If Jean Smart wins the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, she’ll break the record for completely sweeping throughout the show’s run. She’d be the first woman to achieve the feat in the awards’ acting categories. (!!!)
Now, back to the event. Fans will get to enjoy drinks, pizza, soft pretzels, and popcorn before the festivities begin. Cute. My dream date…
Who will be in the Hacks One Night Only live event?
As previously mentioned, Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder will be playing Deborah Vance and Ava Daniels during the special. Variety reports that other cast members will be included in the event as well, though it’s unclear who will be in attendance.
Paul W. Downs, Robby Hoffman, Kaitlin Olson, Mark Indelicato, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, and Rose Abdoo are all part of the ensemble, so there’s a chance they could show up.
Meg Stalter is currently starring as Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh Mary! on Broadway and has a show that same night, so it’s unlikely that she’ll turn up IRL. But knowing our good personal friend, Kayla, she’ll probably find a way to make her mark.
How to watch the Hacks One Night Only live event
So, I’m going to hold your hand when I say this. Tickets for the live event are understandably already sold out, and fans unfortunately won’t be able to enjoy the show from the comfort of their couches. According to several reports, Deborah Vance & Friends & Enemies Live! will not be broadcast or streamed live for the public…yet, anyway.
