Emma Roberts has had a major life update, and no, I am not talking about her starring in and executive producing the Aquamarine reboot. Two years after getting engaged, the actor officially tied the knot with Cody John on July 25 with an intimate ceremony in Sun Valley, Idaho, and everyone from Sarah Paulson to Demi Moore to her aunt Julia Roberts was in attendance.
If this feels completely new to you, I totally get it—Emma is fairly private with her romantic relationships and tends to keep details about her partners under wraps. In her 2019 Cosmopolitan cover story, she notably said, “I never want to talk about relationships I’m in or that are ending or have ended. It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience.”
But with Cody, Emma seems to be a bit more open with her relationship online. Sources started spilling about the new romance, with an insider telling E! News that the two met through mutual friends. “Emma loves Cody’s personality,” the source said, adding, “He’s really funny and they have been having a good time together.”
Meanwhile, a source for Entertainment Tonight confirmed that the relationship started over the summer. “She's been very content with Cody and they’re enjoying their relationship and time together,” the source said. “Their friends and family are happy for the both of them and think they make a great couple.”
