Chris Olsen isn’t crashing out, but he is speaking out. The TikTok star and internet personality has had a wild few days on the internet after finding out he allegedly got cheated on during an Olivia Dean concert in Los Angeles.

“Just found out I got diabolically cheated on in the middle of an olivia dean concert btw,” he wrote over several clips from the Grammy winner’s show, which he posted a few days later on July 17.

Now, he’s opening up about his past relationship with Harrison Dockerty, who he dated for nearly eight months before they split. In a lengthy sit-down video he posted on Monday, July 20, Chris admitted, “I’m not going to be crashing out over this whole situation, but I do want to set the example that it is okay to speak up for yourself.”

He added that he was “not trying to publicly shame anyone” in sharing his truth and advised his 14.2 million TikTok followers to not spread “hate in any direction.”

“I’m trying to show you that someone else’s mistakes do not define who you are,” he shared before confirming the exact timeline of his and Harrison’s relationship.

“I was in a closed relationship from October 7 till May 25, and then he broke up with me after admitting to cheating. And then the other day at the Olivia Dean concert, I found out that there was a lot more that I didn’t know,” Chris explained, admitting that this was not the first time he questioned himself after a partner had cheated on him.

“I’ve come to realize that I do not need to know the answer to any of those questions,” he continued before leaving his followers with a hopeful message: “My story is not about how I keep getting knocked down. It’s about how I keep getting up. And I will do whatever I can to pull you up with me.”

His vulnerable video comes after Harrison, a London-based real estate analyst, left a statement on his Instagram Stories.

“Following the recent posts on social media, and out of respect for Chris, I will not discuss the details publicly. Relationships are complex and rarely straightforward,” Harrison wrote the same day Chris dropped his Olivia Dean concert video. “Publicly discussing personal relationships in a way that fuels online hate is neither healthy nor constructive for anyone involved.”

He echoed a similar sentiment in a statement to People, saying, “Out of respect for Chris and the relationship we shared, I’d prefer to keep matters private. I don’t think it’s healthy or productive for personal relationship issues to be discussed publicly, and I hope we can both move forward with kindness and respect.”

Since their split, Chris and Harrison have unfollowed each other and removed every photo of each other from their social media.
