While House of the Dragon is certainly scratching our Game of Thrones itch, that doesn’t mean that we don’t miss the OG characters and story. And no matter what you thought about what happened at the end of the series, there’s no doubt that we would run back to that world ASAP. Thankfully for us, it looks like some of our favorite characters are back!
In a new trailer for Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, Jon Snow is officially back and fans can take over as the iconic character in the brand-new video game while he leads House Stark in the...well...the War for Westeros. In fact, the game’s trailer shows Jon Snow come face-to-face with the Night King for a battle that we only wish we got to witness in the original series.
Unfortunately for us, it’s not a new series that will star the iconic character. In fact, a spin-off featuring Jon Snow was originally planned, but it’s been put on hold.
"My main thing is not wanting to go there and sort of do an injustice by the character. As I've just said, I think he ended well. I think that he went where he was meant to. So, if you pick him up again, it needs to be for the right reasons,” Kit Harington revealed at Motor City Comic Con via GamesRadar.
The game will also allow fans to take over as various characters in the series, including Jaime Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen. The game will allow players to completely rewrite the ending of the show.
If you’re hoping to try it out, Game of Thrones: War for Westeros won’t be out until later this year and will only be available on Windows. Here’s hoping they expand to other consoles so we can all get our dream ending.
