Over a year on from fashion mogul Kim Kardashian filing for divorce from artist Kanye West, the ex-couple's separation is now official – and the court has ordered that Kanye must maintain some fairly hefty child support payments. Together, the pair share four children: North, aged nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Pslam, three.

According to new reports, Kanye must pay a cool $200,000 (£167,000) each month, working out at $50,000 per child. In total over the space of a year, he'll be paying Kim $2.4 million (£2,080,308). To put that figure into perspective, the cost of the average house in England is £296,000 - so after just two months worth of payments, Kimmy could, in theory, snap up some prime British real estate. (I mean, I'm sure she could do that anyway if she wanted, given her rumoured net worth is $1.8 billion... but that's not the point we're making here).

Kanye's net worth is also estimated [via Forbes] to be pretty darn high, coming in at $400 million, so we reckon he'll be okay making those payments. That said, prior to being dropped by Adidas following his recent anti-Semitic remarks on social media, Kanye was worth a a hell of a lot more: $1.5 billion more, to be precise.

According to the BBC, court documents reveal the ex-couple will share expenses related to security for North, Saint, Chi and Psalm, and school fees. The LA Times also reports that the pair have joint custody.

The divorce papers also disclose plenty about Kim and Kanye's wealth as a whole, revealing that between them, they own 19 separate properties spanning four different states, and ranging from estates, to offices, to ranches and mansions, as well as empty plots of land in California.

Both Kim and Kanye (who has now changed his name to 'Ye') were declared legally single last spring, and both have been linked to other high-profile names since; Kim shared a short relationship with comedian Pete Davidson, who is now dating Emily Ratajkowski, and Kanye was linked to Julia Fox (who - small world - recently appeared on Em Rata's podcast).
