In recent weeks many of the headlines have been dominated by Kanye West's repeat social media posts – some of which involved him sharing screenshots of personal text exchanges between himself and Kim Kardashian West, from whom he is currently going through a divorce, as well as unflattering posts about her new partner, Pete Davidson. One screenshot of his private messages with Kim saw her ask him to keep things private and saw her express concern for Pete's safety.

Kanye has also upset other famous names, such as Billie Eilish, and posted asking God to bring his family back together. In another Instagram upload, the rapper seemingly asking for advice after making it clear that he's unhappy with the fact Kim has allowed their eldest child, North, to start a TikTok account (under parental supervision).

Following this, Kim posted a rare statement on Instagram Stories herself asking again for privacy and noting that Kanye is making their divorce 'impossible'.

"Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye's obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all," she wrote. "From the beginning I have wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way.

"I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately and hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably."

Due to Kanye's diagnosis of bipolar disorder, a condition which sees extreme mood changes and manic episodes (which can be helped with the correct medication), the situation is of course very delicate and could suggest that rather than lashing out simply for the sake of nastiness, the artist's mental health is in a really tough spot right now.

Everyone's clicking on...

Yet his last post does seem to show that Kanye is wanting to make amends, as he's apologised for 'harassing' Kim online and reflected on how his choice of using all capital letters for his posts could come across as aggressive.

"I’ve learned that using all caps makes people feel like I’m screaming at them," he wrote. "I’m working on my communication. I can benefit from a team of creative professionals, organizers, mobilizers and community leaders."

The rapper also said he was grateful for the support he's received and added that he's learning, "Thank everybody for supporting me. I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. To be good leader is to be a good listener."

As yet, Kim has not responded publicly to the post.
