• Kate Middleton cancelled her appearance at the Tusk Conservation Awards this evening due to a family matter.
  • There’s been no comment on how Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are doing, however the issue is not believed to be health-related.

This evening, the Duchess of Cambridge was all set to attend the Tusk Conservation Awards at London’s Empire Cinema. However at the last minute, she had to cancel her appearance because of the littlest royals.

"The duchess is no longer able to attend the Tusk awards due to the children. She will still however meet finalists at a tea at Kensington Palace this afternoon. The duke as patron will attend both,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.

There’s been no specific word yet on how Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1, are doing. The fact that Kate was still able to meet the finalists does give us the idea that it might not be a huge family drama.

William - who has been a Royal Patron of Tusk since 2005 - is currently attending the event solo.

The annual awards ceremony honours the people who work to conserve Africa’s natural heritage and wildlife. At the event, the Duke presented three awards and gave a brief speech addressing the impacts of climate change.

“As we approach the start of a new decade, the challenge ahead of us is clear and urgent. Climate change, human population growth, exploitation of natural resources, and habitat loss all pose major threats to the precious balance of our natural world,” he said.

Everyone's clicking on...

Congratulations to the hard-working winners, and we hope mama Kate and the kids are doing fine at home!
