All the world's eyes are currently on the Lindo Wing, the maternity ward at St Mary's hospital in Paddington, London, where Kate Middleton is in labour with the new royal baby.

Unsurprisingly, Kate isn't the only woman giving birth there today, and for all the other women currently in labour on the ward, things just got a bit more high profile.

The last thing you'd probably want after just having had a baby is to be papped by the world's press as you left hospital. But with journalists and photographers eagerly waiting outside the Lindo Wing's famous steps for any kind of movement at all - that was exactly what happened for these new parents:

HELLO! magazine's royal correspondent Emily Nash caught the moment the couple were greeted by masses of paparazzi as they left the building. Not really knowing what to do, the couple just sort of smiled politely, looking a little shell-shocked, as they held their newborn in its carrycot.

I mean, that's one way to start the world as new parents. But at least they'll always have the photos to treasure.

The Lindo Wing's iconic steps have been the setting for the Duchess' previous two first royal baby pictures.
