You probably thought Champagne was a bit too expensive for your taste, but you would be wrong, my friend - nowadays you can get a great bottle of the good stuff for only slightly more than you'd pay for prosecco.
Especially since a £15 bottle has just beaten out luxury retailers to be crowned Best Champagne in a recent taste test.
Coming out on top against the likes of Champagne Jacques Chaput and The Wine Society, Asda's £15 champagne has been crowned Best Champagne at The People's Choice Wine Awards.
Much more affordable than other fizz on the market, Asda's Extra Special Louis Bernard Vintage Champagne 2007 was praised for its 'ripe yellow apple fruit and round nutty characters, matched with brisk balancing citrus acidity.'
Echoing the judge's sentiments on the Asda website, the fizz is described as 'the perfect partner to smoked salmon and light chicken dishes', being a 'refreshing and elegant Champagne balancing creamy vanilla flavours with a smooth fruitiness.'
Showing just how impressive the British high street is, Asda wasn't the only supermarket to be praised for its bubbly, with Waitrose taking home the title of Best Sparkling Wine.
Everyone's clicking on...
Its Leckford Estate Brut 2013 by the Hampshire vineyard costs £26.90 a bottle, and is described as having peach and citrus flavours with a hint of hazelnut.
Waitrose's English bubbly even ranked higher than fizz from the award-winning Lyme Bay Winery.
It's safe to say we'll be making a pit stop at our local Asda on the way home!
