Inject a colour pop into your wardrobe

Amongst all the trending colours of 2026 (and yes, there are many, from pale pink to ‘cloud dancer’ white), cobalt blue has emerged as an early frontrunner as not just our favourite, but the A-List's too. After appearing on the spring/summer 2026 runways at the likes of Victoria Beckham, Loewe, Jil Sander, Chanel and more, the first couple of months of the year have seen both Bella Hadid and Amelia Gray rep the hue out and about, giving the look their unequivocal backing.

Naturally, the high street has followed suit, with our go-to affordable brands incorporating the standout shade into their pre-spring collections, allowing us to get in on the trend now. But where to begin? When it comes to incorporating this colour into your wardrobe in more wearable formats, you can't go wrong with knitwear. A chunky jumper or cardigan adds an element of softness thanks to its cosy knitted texture and easily pairs with jeans for effortless outfit combinations.

Or, switch it around and inject the colour into your bottom half. A pair of satin cobalt blue wide-leg trousers elevates even the simplest of date night ensembles, while jeans in the vivid colourway (like these from Abercrombie) offer a more subtle take as they're not too different from your usual true blue shades of denim. Of course, you can't go wrong with accessories for those wanting to just dip their toe in.

Below, find our full round-up of the best cobalt blue buys to shop now on the high street.
