Is there anything better than losing yourself in a huge Primark store for hours on end with nothing but your credit card in hand and a whole heap of hope?

Well, if you live near Birmingham you are in for a big treat, as the world's largest ever Primark has opened its doors.

The high street store reportedly snapped up the space in 2014 for a rumoured £60 million and yes, it's huge. The new shop, which is handily located near the city's train station, spans five floors across 160,000 sq ft and will employ more than 1,000 staff.

Customers can expect to find all the latest in womenswear, menswear, kidswear, lingerie, beauty and homeware, as well as free wi-fi and a seating area fitted with phone chargers. There will also be three dining options, including a Disney café with a game zone and Disney-inspired menu, plus a dedicated Disney area packed with toys, clothes and accessories.

Harry Potter fans should look out for 'Hogwarts Wizarding World' for clothes and gifts inspired by the magical franchise. Shopping aside, the store will be home to Duck & Dry Xpress - a beauty studio for nails, make-up, hair, eyebrows and lashes - a barber and a personalisation service which will print bespoke t-shirts and other items.

"They can spend time with friends and family, eat great food, recharge and have fun, and find everything under one roof including fashion, beauty and homewear – all at an amazing price. We're proud to bring this great store and everything it has to offer, to Birmingham."
