It might be slightly more adult in tone, but as far as acting talent goes, HBO's fantasy epic Game of Thrones now occupies the same space as the Harry Potter movies once did. If you're a British star of any note and you've not yet appeared in the series, get your agent on the phone.

But while GoT fans are sure to remember the major performances, plenty of recognisable faces have also shown up in smaller roles. Do you remember all of this lot?

Before he was Danny Rand, the immortal Iron Fist, sworn protector of K'un-Lun, Finn Jones appeared on GoT as Margaery Tyrell's supposedly badass brother Ser Loras.

Mackenzie Crook in Game of Thrones

The BAFTA-winning star of The Office, Detectorists and Pirates of the Caribbean played warging wildling Orell in six episodes of season 3.

Torchwood's Burn was horrid Karl Tanner, a brother of the Night's Watch who turned mutineer and was later slain by Jon Snow. He appeared in four episodes.
