There’s been no shortage of fan theories that The Traitors season four contestants might be secretly connected - and after Wednesday night’s episode (7th January), speculation is at an all-time high. Following Ellie’s revelation (which we clocked) that she and Ross are boyfriend and girlfriend, fans are now convinced there are more hidden relationships waiting to be exposed.

The latest pairing under the microscope? Jessie and Jack. Viewers couldn’t help but notice how unusually close the pair were on last night’s episode, with their interactions sparking fresh rumours that they could be related - or connected in some other way.

From very personal comments you’d usually only make to someone you know well, to moments of subtle PDA, fans are convinced the signs are all there. Here’s all the clues that have everyone talking…

She chose to fight for his place

Jessie was one of the first people to choose during the challenge which saw them having to fight to save one of the players up for murder. With barely a moment’s hesitation, she made a beeline for Jack - a decision that felt more instinctive than strategic.

That hug

After successfully completing the challenge, Jack was released from captivity and Jessie immediately jumped into his arms, with Jack lifting her up.

Following the scene, fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to raise their suspicions.

"Jack and Jessie are a couple why she hug him like that #TraitorsUK #TheTraitors" one wrote.

According to fans, Jack is actually engaged - and not to Jessie - but could this point to another type of relationship, such as close friends or even relatives?

"I couldn't be more proud of her"

Following the challenge, Jack said he "couldn’t be more proud" of Jessie, which felt surprisingly personal, given that the pair supposedly only met on the show.

After the episode, Jack posted a carousel of photos thanking Jessie.

He captioned the images: "What an episode!!! 🤩 Jessie is my SAVIOUR 👼😍," prompting one fan to ask: "And probably your sister?"

Fan comments

Fans are convinced Jessie and Jack are either related or friends.

One wrote: "That morning round table had a very different energy to the usual. And surely Jessie and Jack are related in some way? #TheTraitors"

"Jessie and Jack, brother and sister, and Fiona and Reece mother and son. Surely. #TheTraitors" another said.

"I feel like Jack and Jessie know each other too. They're besties. I'm calling it now #TheTraitors," a third wrote.

We guess only time will tell...
