We're majorly excited that true crime drama The Hack is dropping on our screens.
The ITV series revolves around the 2011 News International phone hacking scandal. It weaves together two real life stories, that of the work of journalist Nick Davies who uncovered the News of the World phone hacking scandal, as well as the unsolved murder of private investigator Daniel Morgan.
It's not one you'll want to miss, as the show has some serious pedigree: not only is it written by Jack Thorne (who also wrote Adolescence!) but it's from the team behind Mr Bates vs The Post Office.
The cast is also seriously exciting, with David Tennant, Robert Carlyle and Toby Jones all tapped for lead roles. There are also actors playing high profile celebs, such as Sienna Miller and even Gordon Brown.

David Tennant as Nick Davies
Who is Nick Davies? Nick Davies is a prominent UK journalist who, while working for The Guardian, was responsible for uncovering the News of the World phone hacking scandal, in particular the hacking of the voicemail of the murdered school girl Milly Dowler.

Toby Jones as Alan Rusbridger
Who is Alan Rusbridger? Alan Rusbridger is the current editor of Prospect. He is the former editor-in-chief of The Guardian and was in this role as the phone hacking scandal was uncovered.
What else has Toby Jones been in? Most recently, Toby Jones has appeared as the titular Mr Bates in Mr Bates vs The Post Office. He also voiced Dobby in two Harry Potter films, has appeared in The Hunger Games as Claudius Templesmith, and has had supporting roles in two Captain America films.
Robert Carlyle as DCS Dave Cook
Who is DCS Dave Cook? David "Dave" Cook, is a police detective who supervised the fifth and final investigation into the unsolved murder of Daniel Morgan, a British private investigator who was killed with an axe in a car parker.
What else has Robert Carlyle been in? Robert Carlyle is a Scottish actor best known for his role as Francis "Franco" Begbie in Trainspotting. He's appeared in other iconic British films such as The Full Monty and Angela's Ashes and recently appeared in Toxic Town, written by The Hack and Adolescence writer Jack Thorne.
Steve Pemberton as Rupert Murdoch
Who is Rupert Murdoch? Rupert Murdoch is a media mogul who owns a vast array of newspapers and TV channels in the UK, Australia, and US. He was the owner of the now defunct News of the World, which was at the centre of the hacking scandal.
What else has Steve Pemberton been in? Steve Pemberton was a writer and actor across four seasons of The League of Gentlemen and was a series regular on Benidorm. Most recently, he appeared as Robbie Williams father in the film Better Man.

Rosalie Craig as Rebekah Wade/Brooks
Who is Rebekah Wade/Brooks? Rebekah Brooks (née Wade) is currently the CEO at News UK (formerly known as News International) which is owned by Rupert Murdoch. She was the previous editor of News of the World between 2000 and 2003, a period in which the paper published a story which allegedly involved illegal phone hacking.

Georgia Jay as Sienna Miller
