MAFS UK's Sarah and Dean have responded to claims that they're heading for the "friendzone", suggesting there is more to come for their story.
During last night's premiere episode of season 10 of MAFS UK, Dean and Sarah, both 31, were the first couple of this year's series to head down the aisle.
While Dean seemed pleased and open with his new bride, Sarah seemed unhappy with her new groom, having previously admitted her type was a "bad boy" with "tattoos", which Dean says he is not.
Following the ceremony, Sarah told the producers, "No, I don't fancy Dean. So sorry," and things continued to go down hill during the wedding breakfast with the pair not seeming to meet eye to eye.
Sarah seemed to be cringed out by Dean singing during the wedding breakfast and was later heard to be saying, "I'm not an over[ly] romantic person at all and anything over the top does put me off. I don't know how to react to that.
"The song is a bit much for me, a bit much too soon. To be honest I don't know if I'd like anyone writing a song for me."
Following the episode's release, fans of the show hit out at Sarah for her treatment of Dean, and many posted on X to suggest the pair were heading for the friendzone.
Now Sarah and Dean have responded to the backlash of their wedding.
Posting on Instagram last night after the episode had aired, Sarah shared an Instagram Story that was captioned: "This one is for the trolls x" and then shared below a quote that read: "So many people inspire me to be nothing like them."
Dean has also responded to the criticism the couple faced, and suggested there could be a future for the pair.
Jumping on his Instagram Stories last night after the episode Dean spoke to camera in a video, saying: "You'll see throughout the series, loads of things changed. So do stay tuned."
Um, is this Dean suggesting there's a major turn around to be had for his relationship with Sarah? We hope so! We'll have to keep watching to know for sure, with tonight's episode seeing the pair head on their honeymoon.
