It's been a big week for the BBC. After Peaky Blinders season six dropped, fans of Villanelle and Eve Polastri were also treated to the first episode of Killing Eve season four - and everyone is saying the same thing.

After months of waiting, our favourite dramatic duo are back one more time, as their story finally comes to a close. In the first episode, fans saw Villanelle (played by Jodie Comer) working in a church, as she attempts to convince Eve (Sandra Oh) that she's no longer an evil assassin.

Of course, there is also the plot surrounding The Twelve, an organisation that use assassins to commit murders which Villanelle was once unknowingly a part of, that needs to be wrapped up.

But mostly, fans on social media are just watching for the are-they-aren't-they romance between Eve and Villanelle. "Sometimes I forget about the stuff with The Twelve. I’m just watching for Eve and Villanelle drama tbh #killingeve," one person wrote.

Another said, " I lol’d when they mentioned “the 12”! Oh that again! Who cares?! Just put Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer in scenes together doing literally anything. It’s all we’re here for. 🤪🙄"

A third added, "Watching Killing Eve for the sexual tension between Eve and Villanelle."

Can't wait to see how this plays out.

A new episode of Killing Eve season 4 drops on iPlayer every Sunday.
