By now you've probably watched and rewatched all available episodes of And Just Like That several times with a few more viewings scheduled in. And who can blame you, after months of waiting the Sex and the City reboot just landed on NOW, and Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte are finally back on our screens. The only person missing now is everyone's favourite Samantha, and while we were pining for her return others were theorising that the character could get a cameo later on in the series. Spoilers below.
As you will already know by now, Samantha Jones played by Kim Cattrall is not part of the cast of the new SATC revival And Just Like That. Cattrall was always clear that she didn't want to be part of a reboot, meanwhile she and Sarah Jessica Parker's (Carrie Bradshaw) long-running feud likely also affected any chance of her being part of the reboot.
The storyline explaining her absence is that she and Carrie fell out after Carrie fired her as her publicist due to the changing book industry. As a result Samantha cut ties with the trio and moved to London for a new job.
In episode 2 however, Carrie receives a huge bouquet of flowers for Mr Big's funeral and opens the card that came with them to find they were sent by Samantha. This plus the fact that she hasn't been killed off in the show, has led fans to believe that the character could be back later in the series for a surprise cameo.
The thinking comes because of the fact that Samantha hasn't simply been written out of the show and then ignored. Instead her character been a fairly big part of both the first two episodes, especially considering she hasn't actually featured.
I mean, our fingers couldn't be more crossed.
