Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes broke Outer Banks fans' hearts everywhere when it was revealed earlier this year that they'd called time on their relationship. But, despite seemingly avoiding each other on the red carpet at this week's People's Choice Awards (and reports that Madelyn has been "living her single girl moment"), a source hinted that the pair were getting pretty close at the event's after party.
The actors clearly had a lot to celebrate that night, with their hit Netflix series being nominated for Drama Show of 2021 and Bingeworthy Show of 2021. 29-year-old Chase was also nominated for Male TV Star, but instead took the prize for Drama TV Star of 2021.
According to the insider, after the awards show the former couple headed to a star-studded party on the rooftop of the Santa Monica Proper Hotel, where they were spotted having somewhat of an "intimate" reunion.
"Maddie's body was totally turned into Chase and he listened intently, and she spoke and animatedly waved her arms," the observer told E! News. "They were looking very close and cosy."
But, it's not the first time the pair have sparked reconciliation rumours. Just last month they were spotted together over the Thanksgiving weekend by an Outer Banks fan. Taking to social media afterwards, the fan shared a photo of the duo captioned: "Just ran into my favourite OBX couple… John B and Sarah (Maddie and Chase)."
Later that day, they were seen dancing behind the DJ booth at a nightclub, although a source confirmed to E! News they were still "just friends."
