Jesy Nelson fans are feeling confused after the singer completely wiped her Instagram overnight. As well as deleting all of her uploads, Jesy unfollowed everyone on her following list and even replaced her profile picture.
The former Little Mix star, who left the band after nine years at the end of 2020, is rumoured to be releasing a solo album very soon. Fans suspect the Instagram move might be the singer's way of creating a blank slate for this new chapter in her career.
Speaking about her new music, an insider told The Sun: "Jesy has been working hard and is feeling really positive about this new chapter of her career."
The source continued, "the difference this time is that she is not comparing herself to her bandmates. It’s been so refreshing for her."
"It has all come together quite quickly," the insider added, "her new record label Polydor are keen to strike while the iron is hot, so they are throwing everything at her project and want the first single out in a matter of weeks."
After noticing the Insta wipe, fans quickly took to socials to share their thoughts on what it might mean.
"Yaaaas, my Jesy Nelson!!!! I’m readyyy!" tweeted one fan, "JESY NELSON WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS???" said another, someone else commented "JESY NELSON IS COMIIINNGG!!!" with a fourth adding "JESY NELSON IS REALLY COMING! ATTENTION! IT'S REAL I'M NOT READY."
