Two days ago, news broke that model Gigi Hadid and her long-term boyfriend Zayn Malik were expecting their first child. Potentially the most exciting baby announcement of the year - naturally we are elated and fans across the world seem to be, too.
Since then, we have been patiently waiting for the couple to confirm the news, but both have remained shtum. However, according to reports by The Mirror, Gigi's mum Yolanda has since come forward and commented on the pregnancy.
Speaking to RTL Boulevard, a Dutch publication, Yolanda said that although she was "shocked our little secret got leaked to press," she is very "excited."
"I’m excited to become a grandmother in September, especially after I lost my mum so recently. But this is the beauty of life. One soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed," she said.
Gigi and Bella's grandmother sadly passed away last year at 78-years-old, following a battle with cancer.
The wonderful people of the internet are already convinced that Gigi's 25th birthday party was actually a secret baby shower and/or gender reveal party, thanks to the blue and pink ribbon on her balloons. Since then, fans have been heavily speculating on whether or not the baby will be a girl or a boy and if Gigi and Zayn have already found out.
Last night, Gigi shared the recipe to her spicy vodka sauce pasta dish, but was quick to point out that she wouldn't be using alcohol in it this time.
"Tonight. Yummy and easy spicy vodka sauce," she captioned the story, before adding, "(but have no vodka ... so without, but still good)."
Clearly not a full blown baby announcement, but as fans will know Gigi is quite the chef and we doubt she'd miss out such a key ingredient in one of her recipes without good reason. Just saying.
