Rihanna may have been romantically linked to ASAP Rocky this week – but she is in fact very much single and staying that way for the time being, at least according to a friend.
Speculation surrounding the 'Needed Me' singer's love life follows her split last week from boyfriend of three years Hassan Jameel. Reports that Rihanna and rapper ASAP – who were pictured together at last month's British Fashion Awards in London – were now an item surfaced yesterday.
But a source has since claimed: "Rihanna is single. She just got out of a long, intense relationship with Hassan.
"She wants to be single and isn't going to jump into something," they added.
Sounds sensible.
The insider also told E! News: "She's hanging out with ASAP Rocky, but she is not dating him. They have a long history and she’s just having fun." We're glad to hear it!
The latest twist in the tale follows a source telling The Sun earlier this week: "They [Rihanna and ASAP] shared a hotel suite during that trip in New York.
"However, Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it’s so soon after Hassan. [But] they’re really enjoying each other’s company and taking things easy as it’s still early days."
Rihanna, who released her last album 'Anti' in 2016 and last month teased that her ninth has been recorded, was famously in a relationship with Chris Brown, and has also been linked to Drake and Ashton Kutcher.
ASAP, whose hits include 'Good For You' with Selena Gomez and 'No Limit' with G-Eazy and Cardi B, previously dated Kendall Jenner and 'Fancy' rapper Iggy Azelea.
