Little Britain, the hit BBC comedy about the people of the UK, is set to return, according to one of its creators. David Walliams – who wrote and starred in the show alongside Matt Lucas as far back as 2000 – confirmed the news in a new interview this week.
But sit tight, because there's one catch... He doesn't actually know when it's going to happen.
Speaking to The Sun, the Britain's Got Talent judge explained: “I would say there will definitely be some more Little Britain coming. I can’t say when exactly but at the right time and place. It was fun coming back for radio because that’s where we started."
Little Britain has so far encompassed 44 episodes, and last returned on Thursday 31 October 2019 as a well-received radio special on BBC Radio 4.
David added: "We had to put it together quite quickly as it was about Brexit. Plus no one expected us to come back on the radio.
"You would have expected Comic Relief or a big live tour. The reaction was great, which was encouraging."
The BGT judge also said: "Matt and I have been getting lots of offers to do more things together again. We just need to decide whether it is revisiting something we’ve already done or working on something brand new or doing both those things.”We can't wait – hurry up guys!
