If you liked the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast (Emma Watson πŸ™Œ), listen up. Disney has tapped the same writer who wrote that live-action, Stephen Chbosky, to work on its planned live-action Prince Charming film.

Chbosky may even direct it, according to The Hollywood Reporter. So you can officially look forward to more record-breaking excellence.

The project was first announced two years ago, and info is still hard to come by, including knowing which Prince Charming we're talking about here, Cinderella's or Snow White's? β€” a very important distinction, obvs β€” the film is being described as a "revisionist" take on the character.

Currently, it looks like the story takes a look at the iconic prince from the point of view of his brother, who never quite lived up to the family name.

The Prince Charming project is the latest in a number of new Disney live-action properties, following up the successes of 2014's Maleficent, 2015's Cinderella and 2016's The Jungle Book with scheduled remakes of Dumbo, Aladdin, Mulan and The Lion King to name a few already in the works. Get excited.
