Like many celebrities, Hailey Bieber has – sadly – found herself at the centre of pregnancy speculation time and time again. Since marrying Justin Bieber in 2018, social media has been awash with rumours that the couple are expecting, so much so that last year Hailey was forced to reveal she has an ovarian cyst "the size of an apple" that might be the cause of the speculation. Now, the 26-year-old has opened up about her desire to have children, but admitted that one thing is stopping her.

"I literally cry about this all the time!" Hailey said in an interview with the Sunday Times. "I want kids so bad but I get scared," she went on, admitting that the way she is treated on social media has left her hesitant about starting a family. "It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends," she said. "I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child."

Despite this, Hailey said that she and Justin are still keen to have children. "We can only do the best we can to raise them," she continued. "As long as they feel loved and safe."

Referencing the "saddest, hardest moments" that she recently opened up about, Hailey said this was in part to do with her treatment online. "I just felt like I was going through a lot of uncomfortable growth. Whenever you’re transitioning from one time of your life to another, it’s really uncomfortable and it can be really sad."

Hailey went on to say that although she was "trying to connect with other people who might feel that way" by taking to social media to share this experience, she was met with some "negativity".

"[People say], 'Oh, you think we feel bad for you?' And I get it. It’s just sad sometimes that that would be how people feel about you wanting to express your emotions," she said.

Everyone's clicking on...

To that, Hailey sadly admitted that she's "accepted [there’s] no winning" when it comes to the internet’s perception of her.
