And in a recent post on social media, the Roar singer epitomised body confidence by flashing her not-so-secret weapon when it comes to body shape: a good old pair of Spanx.
In the Tik Tok video, which Katy also shared on her Instagram page, the mum-of-one is seen strutting towards the camera in her dressing room with some fierce confidence, wearing a blue PVC belted jacket. The words "power", "attitude", "style", "confidence" and "sex" flash up on the screen as she goes, before the pièce de résistance is revealed: the Spanx holding it all together underneath.
By revealing her shapewear, we love the point Katy is making: it's totally okay to have a real body that you dress in Spanx every now and then, and nobody should feel ashamed of doing so. Let us all channel the confidence oozing from Katy Perry in this post, please and thank you.
