Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are in a bubble of love right now, after welcoming their daughter Daisy Dove into the world. After what feels like months of the couple expecting their first child together, the actor, 43, took to Instagram to share a glimpse at their newborn with the happy news.
He regrammed a post from Unicef to his 4.4million followers, sharing "Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and @OrlandoBloom’s new bundle of joy."
The post continued, "'We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,' Katy and Orlando told us", before sharing a link to donate to the charity, with hopes of helping every birth to be healthy.
As fans flooded the comments with congratulations for the couple, some are also pointing out that Katy, 35, actually hinted at her daughter's name months ago.
The singer, who has been promoting her album Smile this year, came out with a new single in May called 'Daisies'. Yep, a single called 'Daisies' followed by a daughter called Daisy. How could we not get the hint?!
"'Daisies', a song about courage, hope & dreams," one fan wrote. "Dove, a symbol of peace, hope, courage & freedom. That's why Katy Perry made #Daisies as the lead single & Daisy Dove Bloom the name of her daughter."
Everyone's clicking on...
Another tweeted, "No wonder Katy Perry said Orlando’s fave song on smile was 'Daisies'... they were literally teasing us this whole time and now it’s Daisy Dove Bloom officially omg."
Considering their family surname is Bloom (y'know, like a flower), this whole thing is just overwhelmingly cute. Congratulations to the new little family!
