10 best toner pads to achieve glowing skin in 2026 – tried and tested
A trip to the skincare mecca, South Korea, ignited my new obsession

As a lover of Korean skincare, I pride myself on having intimate knowledge of all things K-beauty (I tried the viral CosRX Snail Mucin way before it blew up on TikTok, for example.) So, when I went to Seoul for a business trip, I didn’t think I’d come across any skincare trends I wasn’t already familiar with. Unbeknownst to me, there was something I wasn’t totally in on just yet: the current wave of best toner pads taking over K-Beauty.
As soon as I stepped into OliveYoung (basically like South Korea’s version of Boots), I couldn’t help but notice the walls and walls of toner pads – and tonnes of dewy-faced shoppers throwing them into their shopping baskets. It quickly became clear that toner pads are one of the biggest skincare trends right now, with brands and shoppers alike treating them as a fast-track step to clearer, glowier skin.
So I tested a tonne of toner pads. And now? I have thoughts to share with you. Keep reading for everything you need to know about the toner pad revolution, plus, my favourites I’ve been using.
The best toner pads in 2026, at a glance
What are toner pads?
When we think of toner pads in the UK, we picture a convenient lil tub of pre-soaked cotton pads to exfoliate the hell outta our faces. But in South Korea, toner pads are more like small, targeted sheet masks that people use in different areas of their face. Supposedly, people will wear toner pads on the street – just like we do here with pimple patches.
They are just cotton pads that are pre-soaked in a toner solution that you can quickly grab from a tub and swipe all over your face (or dab on as a spot treatment or as a mask – read on for more uses).
What are the benefits of toner pads?
Toner pads come in about a bajillion varieties depending on your skin type and goals. If you want to exfoliate and smooth uneven skin texture, opt for toner pads that contain gentle acids like PHAs and AHAs to softly sweep away dead skin cells. If you’re looking to clear acne, many pads are soaked in salicylic acid to decongest clogged pores. And if overall hydration and brightening is your main priority, many next-gen pads feature ingredients like PDRN, hyaluronic acid and even matcha to soothe and plump.
How you use the pads will also offer different benefits; you can gently sweep them over your skin to quickly remove impurities, or you can leave them on as a sheet mask allowing all the hydrating and active ingredients to penetrate your skin. Many are also dual-sided, so on one side you can use the pad to lightly exfoliate while the other smooth side soothes.
From TirTir to Medicube, lets get into my favourite toner pads I’ve tested in 2026.
