After singing my heart out at the Short n’ Sweet tour, I’ve realised that I’m a big Sabrina Carpenter fan. Tbh, I’ve always loved Sabby C – Espresso is my #1 shower song – but after seeing her bounce about on stage IRL, my obsession has grown.

She’s had a heck of a career so far. From her days on Girl Meets World to performing at Coachella, and now selling out her entire Short n’ Sweet tour, she really is a force to be reckoned with.

Then somehow she found the time to launch her own fragrance line, Sweet Tooth. This girl is booked n’ busy. So, of course, I had to get my hands on the entire line-up of Sweet Tooth fragrances.

Each of the four scents carry the same gourmand sweetness, containing mouth-watering notes – like vanilla, chocolate, espresso and even whipped cream – because who doesn’t want to smell like a bar of chocolate? IMO, they’re Sabrina in fragrance form.

But here’s the great thing. Yes, they’re inevitably sweet, but they don’t cross the sickly line as they’re balanced with other complementary notes to bring more depth to each scent. The longer they sit on the skin, the more they develop, so the initial throws are sweet but then they’re rounded off with floral, musky or amber notes. Some smell quite luxury, ideal for date night, while others are more playful and fruity so a winner for brunching with friends.

If you prefer something lighter, Sweet Tooth, Caramel Dream and Cherry Baby come in a mist iteration, too. While body mists may remind me of P.E. changing rooms, like all good things, they’ve had a come back with brands like Sol de Janeiro and Phlur launching complex compositions – and Sweet Tooth is no exception. The body mists carry the same throw as the matching fragrance, but being a mist, it won’t linger as long as the Eau De Parfum’s – although even with the EDPs you do have to spritz a few times a day to keep the scent lingering.

If you don’t like gourmand scents, this won’t be for you. Sabrina launched this as the original Sweet Tooth perfume and she made it smell just as it sounds. At first I was hit with the creaminess of marshmallow and whipped cream (which, tbh, is a little sweet for my liking) but then it quickly balances with a zesty throw from the candied ginger.

It almost lingers with a slight floral, powdery trail which helps balance out the sweetness from the marshmallow and whipped cream. While I don’t usually go for gourmand perfumes, I find it to be quite a sophisticated composition, something I’d expect to find a luxury price tag attached to.

Notes: Top: bergamot, ginger and marshmallow. Middle: jasmine, coconut milk and vanilla. Base: cashmere and musk.

Where I'd wear it: On a summery day sitting outside with friends and soaking up the sun – while sipping on a strawberry milkshake with a fluffy marshmallow on top, like the ones you see in old-school American diners.

Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth Me Espresso Edp

Sweet Tooth Me Espresso Edp

Y’know that yummy aroma you're hit with as soon as you step into your fave coffee shop. That’s Me Espresso. It smells just like a milky latte, sprinkled with cocoa powder, but then it dries with the notes of biscuit and caramel. The middle and base notes prevent it from being a gourmand fragrance that's hyped up on sugar, but it adds a musky depth that makes it smell more grown up.

I’m also obsessed with how it develops on the skin. Instantly you’re hit with an intense espresso shot, but then it cools down to something a bit fluffy, yummy and decadent.

Notes: Top: Amber caramel, biscuit, cocoa, espresso. Middle: jasmine and orchid. Base: caramel, amber and whipped cream.

Where I'd wear it: Beauty Director, Keeks, said she’d wear this to a coffee shop and I’d have to agree. I’d spritz this on a Sunday for a wholesome dog walk followed by a latte and a pain au chocolat at my local.
