Rise and shine for she has arrived! And by 'she', I mean the Met Gala 2024, because just like God and all things great, the event of the year is a woman... And speaking of, among the regular powerhouse ladies who hit the coveted red carpet with some of their most iconic looks to date (cc. The Kardashians, Zendaya, Amanda Seyfried et al), this year, Sydney Sweeney stole the spotlight with a dramatic black bob beauty look. I'm talking she looks unrecognisable, peeps.
Late last night/early this morning, the Euphoria actor made her third appearance at the annual Met Gala but this time, with an entirely new and dramatic hairstyle. In other words, her signature blonde cut – that was previously chest length but recently entered chin-length territory – was nowhere to be seen but instead, has been replaced with a jet-black colour.
Plus, accompanying the new colour, the transformative hair makeover also features an eyebrow grazin' fringe! See pap snaps from the event, below:
Syd's go-to hairstylist and the genius behind this recent look, Glen Oropeza took to social media to share BTS footage of installing the 'do, too... because yes, it was, in fact, a wig.
This year's theme, as bestowed by Anna Wintour, was 'Garden of Time' and while we're not entirely sure how the raven-toned hair fits in with the sea of floral gowns, Sydney's outfit sure did nail the somewhat esoteric concept.
Accompanying her shaggy black bob, the star stepped out wearing a tulle Miu Miu gown. In the perfect shade of blue, the floral embellished dress was complete with black opera-length latex gloves and a glittering diamond necklace.T'was an all-round slay.
