So, we totally didn't know while watching Stranger Things that Maya Hawke, who plays Robyn, is Uma Thurman's daughter with Ethan Hawke. But once we did know? The resemblance was so obvious. Okay yes, the family looks alike – that's how genetics work – but these two have gotten even more alike since we found out somehow. The pair's resemblance just peaked with these matching slicked-back hair looks and honestly, they're twinning.
This sweet interaction was caught on camera after the pair ran into each other on the red carpet. Maya snaps Uma on a film camera before Mom gets a good look and approves Maya's glam, and some very careful air kisses so as not to mess up each other's makeup.
After a flurry of 'you're so cute', Mom got called off. But it looks like the pair found each other again to take these cute snaps and, wow, despite Maya's high bun and Uma's low, the matching pulled-back hair really emphasises their resemblance.
Some in the comments said the first interaction was awkward for a mother and daughter, but remember they're both still working, air kisses are essential for glam, and not everyone interacts the same to show love.
We love both these ladies for their dry sense of humour, so are we surprised they might not be as outwardly gushing as fans demand? Just one look at this playful video of the two of them on the carpet and it's as clear to see their bond, as it is their resemblance!
