Kim Kardashian and BFF (of the time), Paris Hilton were the starlets of the early 2000s β I will not hear otherwise. Between nightclub appearances and matching velour trackie pap pics, the two were unstoppable. But what (arguably) they were known for best, was being the frontiers of MySpace. Ahh, what a time to be alive. Gen Z, think: adjacent to the faces of our 21st century IG explore pages, or the regular creators we see on good ol' TikTok.
Now, what makes me so nostalgic is the fact that with her most recent Instagram selfie, Kim singlehandedly resurrected the supreme era. Buckle up, folks, for we're heading straight back to 2006 with a Valentines' day debuted pic she captioned: "π". I mean... mood.
Take a look at Keeks being, well, simply iconic below:
OK, so, other than the backward peace and pout pose, what makes this so very Y2K is the nails. For one, they're of a milky white colour, which, although timeless, is one that would've definitely been rocked a la early 00s. Plus, paired with their long and squared tip shape, it just screams 'hand me my Motorola RAZR V3'... in the hot pink shade, ofc.
Step aside glazed doughnut nails, the "milky mani" is the latest 'it' nailspo trend to hit the scene.
Echoing all that we've said, fans took to the comments section of Kim's post to share their love for this throwback energy:
Everyone's clicking on...
"yes I miss this era of kim"
"mood f valentineβs day π"
"β¦ok πβπΌ"
"KIM 2012 VOLVIOOO????ππ"
"Love it !!!!! πππ"
"KIM BEAUTYYYYY"
"You are gorgeous!!!! β€οΈ"
Kim, I have one final thing to say to you: "would you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister's going to jail."
